Abstract :
Due to the rapid development of MEMS technology in the past decades, the micro fluid machinery such as micro pumps and micro compressors have attracted more and more attentions. Understanding of the flow behaviors in such micro devices is crucial for a better design of these micro devices. In the present paper, the improved DSMC based on the information preservation (IP) method is presented and applied for the study of micro flow performance. The rarefied Couette flows are simulated and compared in different conditions by DSMC and that on IP method respectively. The results show that the improved DSMC on IP method can reduce the statistical scatter in low speed Micro-fluidic flow effectively.
