  • Abstract
    In the paper, the focus is on the pump shaft of RCV charging pump and the stress and fatigue life of the annular groove where the pump shaft is the easiest to fracture is emphatically calculated. The analysis involves the following steps: setting up the geometrical model of the pump shaft by using software Solidworks; performing the finite element mesh division and the boundary condition of load for the pump shaft by using the HyperMeh software; The stress calculation under certain load of the pump shaft by using the ABAQUS software provides stress data for the fatigue analysis of the annular groove. In the paper, the analysis model of the pump shaft fatigue life is set up, and the fatigue safety coefficient of the pump shaft is calculated.
