  • Abstract
The fuel supply system transports the fuel oil from the fuel storage tank to the combustion chamber, and it makes great contributions to ensuring the engine to normally start up, to enter the rated working condition and to shut down without delay as required. The physical model of the Scramjet Fuel Supply System which contains the pressure tank, the turbo pump, the controlling valves, the nozzles and so on is set up in the paper, and the transient behaviors of the pump´s starting up as well as the controlling valve´s shutting down are calculated based on the characteristic line method. The calculation results show that in the process of starting the pump, the pressure in the fuel supply system is greatly affected by the pressure of the oil tank and the time the control valve takes to becoming fully open. While in the course of closing the valve, the valve´s closing time and the temperature of the fuel oil can make profound influences on the pressure and the evaporation degree in the pipeline.
