  • Abstract
    We demonstrate a single-chip optical-crossconnect module with integrated signal-monitoring functions for fast mesh-network restoration. High speed photodetectors are integrated in hybrid form with free-space micromechanical structures to achieve good performance and connection-monitoring, potentially in a compact low-cost configuration.
