On Fixed Modes in Singular Systems

Abstract :
In this paper, some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed modes in singular systems are formulated, which are generalizations of the results obtained in nonsingular systems. At first, the systems consisting only of scalar subsystems are considered and then the results are extended to general decentralized control systems.
