Abstract :
In this paper, we extend a saturation throughput model for the IEEE 802.11 DCF MAC protocol to the case of multiple overlapping IBSSs (independent basic service sets) sharing the same frequency of operation. This analytical model is a necessary step to the performance modeling of multi-hop ad hoc networks on top of 802.11 platforms
