Abstract :
Genetic algorithm (GA) based design techniques are widely proposed for digital filters. However, the instability problem for IIR filters and the phase distortion for FIR and IIR filters occurring during the design process are important disadvantages for digital filters. In this work, an effective design method using GA for minimum phase and stable digital filters is presented both for FIR and IIR filters and the results are compared
