Abstract :
A new type of 2-dimensional curved position- sensitive neutron detector is developed for ammplication at single crystal diffractometer, which covers 70deg in horizontal and 45deg in vertical direction. The prototype development of this curved detector is aimed at testing of technical feasibility of detector parameters such as internal structure, new method to build-up anode and cathode planes´ build-up, technical difficulties in assembly procedure, optimization of design parameters in terms of mechanical and electric properties, etc. In this paper, we present the preliminary results of the curved detector.
