Abstract :
In this paper we show how deflation based on unitary equivalence transformations may be used to solve the eigenstructure assignment problem of descriptor system using state feedback. To give the required insight to the approach we first present an algorithm that is mainly concerned with the mathematical solution of the problem. Then we motivate ourselfs to modify this algorithm so that it becomes numerically efficient. A numerical example is also presented.
