A novel algorithmic synchronisation technique for OFDM based wireless multimedia communications

This paper proposes a scheme based on an algorithm for synchronising OFDM systems. Different types of synchronisation techniques are discussed. It is found that every existing synchronisation scheme has certain advantages and disadvantages. An alternative scheme based on an algorithm is proposed. In the proposed scheme, the best features of each existing synchronisation scheme are integrated into a whole, yielding an optimum approach to OFDM synchronisation. The implementation retains the inherent simplicity of OFDM systems, without any circuit complications and is therefore, suitable for hardware realisation
