Abstract :
Aiming the routing´s instability problem for mobile ad hoc networks based on directional antenna, a method of using probability density to measure the link availability is presented, a directional link availability calculation model is established, and the calculation method as well as formulas are given. Final simulation results show that the effectiveness of directional links has relativity with the initial distance, relative velocity, the initial orientation angle and the rate of velocity´s change between nodes, but has little effect with factors such as node density.
