The undersea industry has grown tremendously over the past twenty years, and has produced some of the most technologically advanced equipment available to date. This diverse industry continually embraces new technology, and applies it to their next generation of undersea products. However, this industry as a whole appears to be underutilizing the newest and most powerful marketing tool currently available-the Internet. The authors discuss the current state of web utilization within the industry, how different sectors of the ocean technology industry utilize their web pages, and provide suggestions on how companies can optimize this tool by incorporating value added marketing concepts that have proved effective for other industries
