Abstract :
At the end of the conference, a general session was held in which the conference results were summarized by VanDevender (Sandia), Sudan (Cornell), Doucet (Ecole Polytechnique), and Nakai (Osaka). It was the general consensus that significant progress had been made during the past two years in all areas, but that significant problems remain, particularly in developing the 10n sources required for inertial confinement fusion.
