Abstract :
At United Utilities (UU), there is a plan to improve the service delivered to customers, whilst reducing customers´ bills. The Operational Technology Asset Planning (OTAP) approach, providing a holistic overview to the condition of assets, is central to delivering this ambition. The Remote Monitoring and Control (RMC) of large wastewater treatment works (WwTW) initiative is a key segment of the OTAP approach. The primary objective of this initiative is to cost effectively replace Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure at the end of its useful life; one of the benefits is streamlining existing operational activities to achieve the optimum balance between efficiency and performance.
