Abstract
In Satellite Communication System, system lifetime drops drastically in energy consumption of the payload. MIMO has been done in order to take advantage of the correlation among satellites´ data for increasing the capacity of channel and decreasing the transmission power. This paper studies a dual-satellite scenario based upon synchronization-deriving and gateway-processing schemes, aimed at overcoming this problem. First, specific proposals for a dual-satellite cooperation diversity scheme are studied based upon MIMO-SS (single code) schemes. As a second alternative, a multi-code scheme is studied with specific proposals for power imbalance to receiver. In both cases, we quantify and conclude the MIMO gains in terms of bit error rate (BER) for different place. The analytical results have been validated by means of Monte Carlo simulations.
