Abstract :
The D. C. accelerators are the devices providing the moot powerful electron and ion beams in the pulsed and continuous operation conditions. One-gap accelerating systems are usually used in the prezent D.C. accelerators designed to obtain the powerful pulsed beams. But such solution cannot be considered universal, as the electrical strength of the non-sectional vacuum gap decreases with its length increasing. It is notably marked at the accelerating voltages exceeding 1 MV in stationary conditions or those near them.
