Abstract :
In section I, some aspects of an electrical energy quality estimator-analyzer are briefly introduced, and a notion of how data compression could augment the process of developing such a device, is presented. In subsequent sections, after a short introduction to data compression algorithms, a variety of Huffman code is introduced. The paper is concluded with a summary of an experiment, testing the efficiency of such a code, when using an offline-generated dictionary to compress measured voltage signals.
