Abstract
Broadband source localization in shallow water, both in range and depth, can be performed using conventional plane wave beamforming with vertical hydrophone array data. The approach is applied to data collected during the shallow water (200-m) SWellEx-3 experiment in 1994. Source localization out to ranges greater than 25 water depths is achieved with the SWellEx-3 data
