Abstract
The aim of the work was to establish a calibration facility for radiated-emission test antennas in the frequency range of 30-1000 MHz, which provides both optimum accuracy and time-efficiency. This task resulted in the following objectives: select a calibration method and optimize it such that an overall accuracy of ±1 dB can be achieved (this is demanded by CISPR both for antennas used for radiated-emission tests and for antennas used for normalized site attenuation measurements); construct a good open-area test site to be used as primary standard for wave propagation; write a computer program for automatic data acquisition via IEC-bus and automatic data processing; establish quality assurance for the whole procedure. The final result is a calibration facility that fulfils all the above mentioned requirements. The authors have investigated and improved the standard antenna method
