Abstract :
In search of the most attractive tariff option, some large South African industries have developed new tariff impact evaluation models. The result of selected tariff impact evaluations which produced further insight into electrical energy accounting practices are presented by the authors. These results could be important to electric utilities and industrial end-users because they reveal possible obstacles to reaching the honourable objectives of the tariff designer, the demand-side planner and the energy manager
