Abstract
This paper presents a method of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation with no ambiguity based on sparse and nonuniform concentered orthogonal loop and dipole (COLD) array, which enhances the resolution of DOA estimation in the case of less array elements. And the ambiguity of the sparse and nonuniform COLD array is analyzed and the results of the analysis indicate that the sparse and nonuniform COLD array considered can not cause spurious peaks of the DOAs under certain conditions. Some numerical simulations illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
