Abstract
In X-ray Computer Assisted Tomography (CAT) the difference between the convolution of the detector response in the slice plane on the intensity distribution and the convolution on the projection distribution is at the origin of the material loss artifact. To correct this artifact we propose an iterative method based on a conjugate gradient algorithm and achieving satisfactory results concerning the accuracy, the number of iterations and the sensitivity to noise.
