Abstract :
In this research work, the small signal model for a pulsewidth modulated embedded impedance source converter (PWM EZSC) is developed using averaging modelling techniques. In recent years, the EZSC has caused researchers interested in isolated and non-isolated converters for distributed power generation systems and renewable energy applications. Based on averaging technique, DC modelling, large signal modelling and, linear small signal model of PWM EZSC are proposed in continuous conduction mode (CCM). Using the proposed small signal model, open-loop input voltage-to-capacitor voltage, input voltage-to-inductor current, control-to-capacitor voltage, and control-to-inductor current transfer functions are derived. The developed models are simulated to obtain bode diagrams of the derived transfer functions using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
