Abstract
This article presents the design and fabrication of a distribution transformer integrated with filtering inductors to deal with the harmonic problems caused by nonlinear loads and noise problems in low-voltage distribution systems. A special structure of two sub-windings with same numbers of turns but inverse winding directions is used to construct the inductors which are wound onto the transformer core. Finite element analysis is performed to determine the inductance and magnetic coefficient matrices.
