Abstract :
An end-to-end scheduling approach for real-time CORBA, called EES-CORBA. is proposed in the paper. In terms of the remote calls in each real-time CORBA client, the client can be mapped to a chain of tasks. The mapping rules are: each remote call in the client is mapped to a task that executes on server host and local code between adjacent remote calls is mapped to a task that executes on local host. Thus, the real-time CORBA system can be viewed as end-to-end system. According to the existing end-to-end scheduling solution, EES-CORBA is easily implemented. The performance test indicates that EES-CORBA is better than other end-to-end scheduling approaches for real-time CORBA.
