Abstract :
EM coupling effects of an operator man body on a portable communication dipole-antenna located proximate to the abdomen surface (the distance is less than 1 cm) was studied. Coupled integral equations (CIE) and the moment method (MoM) were used to numerically compute the EM interaction between the human body and the radiating dipole antenna. Antenna characteristics, e.g., input impedance, current distribution, radiation efficiency, and antenna patterns, coupled with the present body, are determined. EM energy deposition into the body and the body-absorbed power are also calculated. Numerical examples at the 840-MHz portable communication frequency band are presented
