  • Abstract
The qualitative simulation was used in the global performance and consistency analysis of conceptual design with incomplete knowledge. The qualitative information matrices and the qualitative algebraic relations were given to be basic parts of qualitative reasoning. The Space configuration of mechanism is also expatiated. The steady-state response of the mechanism inside a truck was built by supposing that it was running at a uniform speed. The relationship between the steady response parameter and the barycentric position ones were given. The result shows that the qualitative simulation analysis is effective in the conceptual design stage and the steady response is important in the design process.
