Abstract :
With the rapid development of computer vision and intelligent recognition, real-time alarm analysis of surveillance system has become possible. In this paper, a system for the detection of object entering into prohibited area in surveillance video is designed based on the moving object detection and tracking technology. For motion detection, the Gaussian Mixture Model with background segmentation is used. For motion tracking, the centroid-based method is used. In order to speed up the image processing, only the prohibited area is processed by using the mask of the background. Experiments demonstrate encouraging results.
