Abstract :
Voltage dips are usually followed by the most important damages due to, for example, the lack of input for minimum voltage relays, leading to short-term interruptions. A great deal of attention must be paid for the consumers which cannot sustain supply interruption. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt special schemes in order to ensure power supply during emergency state of operation for the electrical network. This paper addresses voltage dips mitigation issues, starting from a comprehensive electrical network analysis for single-phase voltage dips and going towards voltage dips classification and definition of voltage dips tagging.
