  • Abstract
    This paper presents a first reported compact 60-GHz millimeter-wave integrated chip antenna and bandpass filter with a glass substrate Integrated Passive Device (IPD) technology. The bandpass filter utilizes the half-wavelength microstrip resonators loaded with quarter-wavelength short-circuited stubs integrating with a quasi-Yagi antenna. The experimental results of the proposed integrated antenna-filter demonstrate that the measured reflection coefficient is less than -10 dB with -12 dB at 60-GHz and the measured radiation gain estimated by Friis´ transmission formula is 2.6 dBi. The total chip size is 1.85 × 1.85 mm2. The proposed design is well suited for System-in-Package 60-GHz radio front-ends.
