Abstract
This work derives the closed form expression for the interference power of ultra wideband time hopping bipolar modulation impulse radio on a generic narrowband receiver under some practical assumptions, based on which the maximum and minimum interference power are analyzed when the average impulse radio signal power and the spectrum of ultra wideband pulse at the center frequency of the narrowband receiver are fixed. In particular, some design guides in terms of choosing optimal signal parameters for high data rate impulse radio, are presented to reduce the interference power. Simulations demonstrate all of the analysis.
