Abstract :
VTK(The Visualization Toolkits) is an object-oriented designed, powerful toolkit for the Visualization of graph and image data. For the requirement and characteristic of medical image processing, the article introduces the application of 3D measurement technique in the field of medical images. In parallelism cast shadow, the 2D coordinates that users select are converted into 3D\´s, and by help of "picking points" approach, the characteristic points are picked. Combining with the method, we carry it on the patient\´s face of skull, the results are satisfying.
