  • Abstract
Cloud computing is presently one of the key technologies for most IT applications. However, it frequently suffers from various security threats on data retrieval from cloud storage due to the sharing of resources in the public domain. Though several attempts have been made to address those concerns by cloud service providers, they are either too complicated or too costly to implement in order to obtain those promising solutions. The present model provides a simple but effective working process for those stakeholders. It is implemented by applying OTP associated with SMS for timely system access and secured file decryption in combination. Users are required to gain access for secured files in cloud storage by strictly following the procedure in prescribed steps. When a hacking attempt is tried, unless the right code could be given within the right time, including the right key for decryption, it would end up in futility. We have verified our work with several experimental attempts, showing that the privacy security could be preserved in a quite promising manner.
