  • Abstract
    Through storage, consolidation, calculation, application core technologies of Big Data, application in electric power industry could drive upgrading and transformation of IT platform and business model of electric power companies. Big Data application in electric power industry requires to improve the capabilities of data storage and processing, which fills in the virgin areas of analysis and usage of unstructured data and massive data mining to improve the data mining efficiency of electric power companies. The electric power big data (EPBD) challenge is becoming one of the most exciting opportunities for the years to come. We present a broad overview of this topic, its current status, technical challenges, and a forecast to the future in this paper.
