Abstract :
The energy crisis taking place in Lebanon had opened the door wide to the use of private diesel generators to compensate for the electricity shortage in this country. This work suggests a way to use the heat produced by diesel generators during operation and convert it to useful thermal energy. Phase change material is used in the proposed system as energy storage medium, which allows the use of the stored energy at the desired time. This work goes in line with efforts put in Lebanon to alleviate its energy problems.
