  • Abstract
The objective of this study conducted in the S_VRAI project [saving lives by road incident analysis feedback] is to present results about the acceptability of equipping a vehicle with an event data recorder (EDR) without feedback. Five focus groups were conducted in two different French Civil Service departments. Lack of privacy, volunteering, anonymity and the data access are main elements of the acceptability of the EDR. The results show also the importance of the societal and professional context when studying the acceptability of an EDR. However, all these elements need to be moderated by the corporate culture.
