Abstract :
The approach of this paper seeks to highlight the causes and frequency of failure presented in three cases of projects not completed successfully, analyzing the various research and expert opinions, which agree that the failure of projects depends primarily on the capabilities management and leadership of the project manager. But besides these, there are other reasons why a project is not completed successfully, for that reason in this work, the main causes and problems in project management and possible ways that they appear or are detailed not continue repeating. The study intends to issue an explanation for each case and analyze some variables to determine the phenomena that generate a failure in project management. The type of information collected is quantitative, because in this study the percentage of projects that fail and why this phenomenon occurs is calculated.
