  • Abstract
    This work explores the impact of the ground plane on a λ/2 open-slot antenna using the spherical wave expansion in the far-field zone. In terms of equivalent radiating sources, the nature of the open-slot antenna radiation pattern is not well assessed. This study shows that for small ground planes, open-slot antenna is a multiple source antenna.
