Abstract :
The field of radar continues to evolve as efforts are increasingly devoted to the development of terahertz (THz) systems. A team jointly from the University of Leeds, UK, and The University of Queensland, Australia, have presented their work on the use of a terahertz Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) for Radar Cross Section (RCS) characterisation. The University of Leeds-based Institute of Microwaves and Photonics is a pioneer in THz QCL design and fabrication, while The University of Queensland´s Microwave, Photonics, and Communications group is a world leader in LFI (Laser Feedback Interferometry).
