Change of Editor-in-Chief

It is my great pleasure to announce that Prof. Giovanni Ghione has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ELECTRON DEVICES (T-ED), effective January 1, 2016. Giovanni has previously served on the T-ED Editorial Board for many years and has played an active role in several critical areas of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), including chairing the EDS Compound Semiconductor Devices and Circuits Committee for six years. Giovanni is an outstanding researcher and has broad research activities ranging from wide-bandgap semiconductor devices and materials to optoelectronic applications. He is a dedicated volunteer and an organized leader. We are confident that, under his leadership and in collaboration with the T-ED Editorial Board and the EDS Editorial Office, the T-ED will continue to strengthen its position as the premiere venue for publication in Electron Devices and related technologies.
