Completed careers: Remembering our EMC colleagues

The EMC Society has suffered losses of three major contributors to our EMC discipline. One was a part of the founding members of the Society and two were major contributors to the application of EMC principles. I am saddened to report that Sam Burruano, who was one of the founders of the EMC Society which was called the Professional Group on RFI back at the start in 1957, has passed way. In the same time period, ???Bud??? Hoeft, who contributed much in the area of connector and cable shielding and its application to shielding of aircraft also passed as did Dave Hanttula who first practiced EMC at a startup company called ???Apple???.
