  • Abstract
    In this paper we comparing a new class of window functions based on the orthogonal polynomials known as the Legendre Polynomials and a standard Blackman and Hamming windows. Recently, A.G. Deczky [2001] show very interesting window functions derived from Gegenbauer polynomials which have the interesting properly that the rolloff of the sidelobes with frequency is controlled by a two parameters. Just with similar method was prepared new class of windows based on modified Lagendre polynomials. We shall discuss some properties of the Legendre window.
