Abstract :
Image processing capabilities of a quantum dot nanoelectronic device structure are investigated. The device characteristics are compared with the cellular neural network model and system equations are presented. Certain characteristics of the device are demonstrated via simulations of the resultant dynamical system. Image smoothing, edge detection, and noise reduction capabilities of the nanostructure are presented and a discussion of the results generated by simulation examples is given.
