Abstract :
The main motivation for the work reported in this paper stems from the unsatisfactory accuracy of chip resistor CAD models used in professional microwave circuit design programs. In order to make more practical the characterization of a great number of resistors correctly used in MICs, a novel approach has been proposed in the present paper. It is based on computational gathering of the data necessary to evaluate the values of elements which enter the equivalent circuit of a resistor. Experimental verification of resistor CAD models obtained in such a way confirms the validity of the proposed procedure.
