Abstract
Adaptive and non-adaptive versions of the feedback linearization control technique are used for the control of a nonlinear electrohydraulic velocity servomechanism, the nonlinear behavior arising from load friction as well as the valve flow-pressure drop relationship. An adaptive fuzzy controller is used here for the same application as well. The three controllers are compared based on simulation and experimental results of tracking performance as well as their ability to adjust to disturbances caused by variation in the system parameters.
