Abstract :
This paper describes a new type of universal functional block called U4TIA suitable for implementation all the known types of amplifiers (VOA, COA, OTA, TIA) and their adjoined counterparts. The first part of this paper deals with the basic structure of U4TIA. A simple implementation by using conventional TIA or current-conveyors (CCII) is shown. The second part is devoted to the description of current op-amp based on U4TIA which is adjoined to the voltage-op-amp. Such COA shows current gain approximately 10/sup 4/ and it can be used for fast and precision current amplifier with GBP>400 MHz. This is documented by results of amplifier simulation by MAPLE and PSPICE using professional model AD 844.
