Abstract :
The presented article describes a new effective method for an active filter design with prescribed group delay frequency response. The proposed procedure also enables the solution of some practical restrictions of electronic circuits design such as the limited range of element values and the using of non-ideal operational amplifier models in the designed circuit. The suggested approach is based on a new numerical optimisation method, enhanced different evolution, developed by the author of this article. This method is used for single steps of the filter design. Namely, to find a suitable filter transfer function and to optimise a designed filter with respect to the restrictions of practical realisation.
