Abstract
Space charge measurements are often made at only one temperature and at unspecified relative humidity (RH). Nevertheless, it is agreed between researchers that the temperature influence on the space charge pattern can be significant. In addition, penetration of water into the test specimen when the test is performed at high humidity may have its effect on the measurement results. To study the effect of both temperature and RH, space charge measurements were performed on polycarbonate filled with TiO/sub 2/ at temperatures ranging from 20/spl deg/C to 60/spl deg/C and RH from 20% to 80%. The results are analysed and a qualitative explanation of the findings is presented.
