Abstract :
One of the crucial problems that need to be resolved in designing of optical WDM networks is concerned with the logical topology reconfiguration in situations of link failure. In this paper two potential strategies for the network reconfiguration after the link failure will be analyzed regarding fault tolerance. The simulation of both procedures will be performed on the given network model and the obtained results for the successfully established lightpaths will be compared.
