Abstract :
In this paper, performance analysis of several turbo codes with uniform interleaver and two identical 4-state and 8-state recursive systematic convolutional encoders, considered in Sergio Benedetto et al. (1996), is performed. We present a more precise algorithm than that represented in Sergio Benedetto et al. (1996), for upper bounding the bit error probability as a function of SNR for transmission over AWGN channels and maximum likelihood decoding, as well as appropriate diagrams. Better performance is observed for SNR values greater than 4 dB.
